Silver Spring Man Charged After Stabbing In White Oak

Authorities said the Silver Spring man argued with his mother's boyfriend and threatened him with a fork.

WHITE OAK, MD — Authorities have arrested and charged a man in connection with a stabbing in White Oak.

O’Shea Hunter, 23, of Silver Spring, was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, resisting arrest and reckless endangerment following the Wednesday incident that occurred in the 1500 block of November Circle, Montgomery County police said in a news release.

According to police, Hunter got into an argument with his mother’s boyfriend and threatened him with a fork. When the victim did not comply, police said Hunter grabbed a multi-tool knife, stabbed the victim in the chest and ran to a bedroom. After the victim followed him into the bedroom, Hunter hit him with an expandable baton and ran out of the home, authorities said.

Officers spoke with the victim, who provided a description of Hunter. The victim suffered a cut on his chest and chose not to receive medical treatment.

Authorities searched for Hunter and located him in the 11300 block of Lockwood Drive. When Hunter saw the officers, police said he ran away and jumped over a fence.

Officers and a K-9 unit surrounded the area and took Hunter into custody.

Hunter was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.
