This week a sparks controversy, Park Police increase patrol on Sligo Creek Park after a woman was assaulted, , fuel spill closed Colesville Road and the recent crime report is available.
1. A fuel spill shutdown Colesville Road Northbound this week. The accident was between a construction truck and a car. The truck labeled as belonging to Environmental Alternatives Inc., a construction and demolition debris removal service located in Clarksville. One person was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
2. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and Governor O'Malley (D) are set to announce a new campaign at Montgomery College Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus. Officials will tour the college’s health sciences simulation labs and address how the expansion of the campaign by Discovery Communications provides better resources and job opportunities.
