Police Blotter: Summary of Crimes Week of Jan. 2 - 10
Robberies and residential thefts were reported.

Residential burglaries dominate the Montgomery County Police weekly major crimes summary for the Silver Spring area. Crimes reported for the week of Jan. 2 to Jan. 10 are as follows:
Crown Wigs located at 8233 Georgia Avenue: An attempted commercial burglary occurred between 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5 and 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 6. There was an attempted forced entry, but nothing was taken.
9600 block of Sutherland Road: A residential burglary occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 10 between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. There was a forced entry, but was nothing taken.

10100 block of Brunswick Avenue: A residential burglary occurred on Wednesday, Jan. 4 between 9:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. There was a forced entry and property was taken.
8500 block of Glenview Avenue: An aggravated assault occurred on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 8:51 p.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon.

9300 block of Piney Branch Road: A residential burglary occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9. There was an unknown entry and property was taken.
10700 block of Venetia Mill Circle: A residential burglary in the White Oak area on Tuesday, Jan. 3 between 7:30 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. There was a forced entry and property was taken.
11400 block of Stewart Lane: A strong-arm robbery occurred on Monday, Jan. 9 at 6:40 a.m. in the White Oak area. The suspect forcefully removed property from the victim.
11600 block of Lockwood Drive: A residential burglary occurred in the White Oak area on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 8:10 p.m.
Paint Branch High School located at 14121 Old Columbia Pike: A robbery occurred in a locker room on Monday, Jan. 9 at 7:35 a.m. The suspects forcefully removed property from the victim.
3400 block of Gateshead Manor Way: A residential burglary occurred on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 2:12 p.m. There was an unknown entry, but nothing was taken.
