Police Seek Missing Silver Spring Teenager

Amanda Claire Hanlon was last seen by family members at about 5 p.m. Monday. She may have a German Shepherd puppy with her, police said.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Police are searching for an 18-year-old woman missing from Silver Spring who was last seen Monday.

Amanda Claire Hanlon was last seen by family members at about 5 p.m. when she left her home on Geren Road on foot. Family members have been unable to contact her since that time, police said.

Police describe Hanlon as a white female, about 5’ 3” tall and 140 pounds. She has long purple hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt and blue jeans. She may also have a German Shepherd puppy with her.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Amanda Claire Hanlon to call the Montgomery County Police Department’s non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
