Police Seek Tips Naming Suspect In Silver Spring Man's Homicide
Montgomery County police are asking for help identifying a suspect in Saturday's fatal shooting of a Silver Spring man in a parking lot.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Detectives are asking for help from the public in identifying the suspect who shot and killed a Silver Spring man Saturday in a parking lot.
Jonah Kimindo Mutua, 23, of Silver Spring, was killed on March 8 in the 2700 block of Fairdale Terrace. Police were called to a shooting about 11:04 a.m. and found Mutua suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Despite lifesaving efforts by a good Samaritan, first responding officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services personnel, Mutua was pronounced dead at the scene, a police news release said.

An autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore ruled the manner of death was a homicide.
