This daylong summit is the latest in a series of gatherings held across the country to connect senior administration officials to Hispanic community leaders and members.
During the event, White House and Cabinet officials will discuss issues critical to Maryland’s Hispanic community and what President Barack Obama could shed light on for congress.

This will include forums ranging from the economy, healthcare, education, and immigration.

A few of the local and White House officials who are set to attend include: Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), Maryland Lt. Governor Anthony Brown, Montgomery County Councilmember Nancy Navarro (D-Dist. 4), White House Office of Public Engagement Associate Director Julie Chávez Rodriguez , White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics Director José Rico, and Mileydi Guilarte, International Cooperation Specialist, Office of Central American and Mexican Affairs.
