Prostitution Ring Uncovered in Silver Spring Hotel

The following arrest information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Virginia man is charged with five counts of prostitution after Montgomery County Police officials identified him in a possible prostitution scheme at a Silver Spring hotel.

Police responded at the , located on 8777 Georgia Ave., for a complaint of prostitution around 7:40 p.m. on Feb. 15, according to police.

The hotel manager, who wasn't identified by police, told officers that he recognized Bryant Jermaine Livingston, 39, as a frequent hotel guest and recalled groups of men and women frequently entering and exiting Livingston’s room, police stated in a release.

The manager escorted the police officials to the room and confronted Livingston, and plainly asked if prostitution was occurring in his room.

Livingston denied the manager's claim, but when police entered the room, they said they saw 11 half-dressed people in the room, including three women and four men. A few people were in the two beds while others were seated and standing in the room, according to police.

After officers interviewed everyone in the room, one person admitted to paying Livingston $100 to enter the hotel room and engage in sexual activities, police said.

Livingston was charged with with five counts of prostitution and was served a warrant on March 16. He was released on bond, but is expected in a Silver Spring courtroom on May 8, 2012.
