Did you know that yoga can support bone health? That’s right, not only is yoga a fun and low-impact activity but it can increase bone density and prevent bone weakness! According to Loren Fishman, MD and osteoporosis expert, yoga can aid in treatment and prevention of osteoporosis by stimulating bone formation and maintaining bone density. In fact, by practicing just 12 simple yoga poses you can improve your balance and prevent falls. That’s why The Leggett at Elizabeth Square, a 62+ community located in downtown Silver Spring, is hosting a free Chair Yoga class on July 10 at 10:00 AM, and you’re invited!
The Chair Yoga class will be led by Jordana Carmel, a certified yoga teacher and health coach who has more than two decades of experience teaching yoga.
