Shots Fired In Downtown Silver Spring, No One Injured: Police
An off-duty officer called in a report of a fight near Society Bar, and then said shortly after that there were gunshots.
SILVER SPRING, MD — An off-duty cop called in and asked police officers to respond to a fight near Society Bar on Georgia Avenue at 2 a.m. Monday. Montgomery County Police says the cop then said there were gunshots nearby.
Officers who responded found bullet holes in five businesses in the area of Bonifant Street and Georgia Avenue, but said no one was injured.
Police were going to businesses on Monday to ask to review surveillance footage for possible suspects, and are asking anyone with information to call the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870 or 240-773-TIPS.
