Silver Spring Fire Displaces Four

No injuries were reported, according to a fire official.

 

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue officials were dispatched to the 1700 block of Lansdowne Way Monday at 6:45 a.m. for a house fire.

“Firefighters encountered smoke from the roof area,” Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesman Captain Oscar Garcia said.

Initial information from the scene shows that the fire started in a room from electrical problems, Garcia said.

The four adults living in the home will have to find a new place to live because of the extensive damage.

Garcia says the Red Cross will most likely step in to assist the family with food, lodging and clothing.

No injuries were reported.
