Silver Spring Man Pleads Guilty in Government Bribery Case

Scheme involved export of vehicles.

A Silver Spring man has pleaded guilty to receiving bribes in federal court in connection with enabling a vehicle exporter to avoid paying Virginia about $25,000 in fees.

Francisco Samayoa Hernandez, 33, was a supervising tax assessor in Arlington County, VA. He admitted Tuesday in federal court in Alexandria that he received $11,000 for providing titles and falsifying paperwork that let the exporter escape taxes on Lamborghini and other expensive cars, The Washington Post reported.
