Kamenetz Q&A
County Executive talks early retirement, layoffs, water towers, liquor licenses and recycles a recent favorite sound bite.

County Executive Kevin Kamenetz had a lot on his mind during a Sunday appearance on WBAL TV.
Kamenetz appeared live on the station for a six-minute question and answer segment with Lisa Robinson.
During the segment, Kamenetz told Robinson the county has for some employees as a way of cutting expenses. Kamenetz was non-committal when asked about the possibility of layoffs.

"The fact that we're building a tower is a done deal," he said. "That particular location is not a done deal."
He also weighed in on the need for reforming the county's liquor license system. Kamenetz recently appointed a task force charged with recommending changes to make it easier to issue .
The county executive called the current system archaic.
"All the benefit goes to those who've owned licenses in the past and sell them for really high prices," Kamenetz said.
Kamenetz also got to use a favorite sound bite about the 10 plagues that he started using during Hurricane Irene.
"We've had a hurricane, we had the floods," a smiling Kamenetz said before adding, "I'm waiting for the locusts to come."
He'll be here for at least the next three years, folks. Try the veal.
