A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Greenway Road, 8400 block. Between 12:30 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 1. A 2009 Nissan Altima was stolen from the front of a residence. There was a spare key inside. The owner was not sure if the car was locked.  L'Hirondelle Club Road, 7600 block. Between 2:30 p.m. Sept. 2 and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 3. A leaf blower, weed eater, tiller, gas cans filled with gas and gas cans filled with kerosene were stolen from sheds at the <a href="http://lhirondelle.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">L'Hirondelle</a><a href="http://lhirondelle.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> Club. </a> Wentworth Avenue, 1700 block. Between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sept. 1. A laptop, cash, coin collection and jewelry were stolen from a residence. The burglar entered through an unlocked back window.  Loch Raven Boulevard, 8400 block. Between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 31 and 11:12 a.m. Sept. 1. A car thief pried open the driver's side door of a vehicle, ransacked it and tore plastic off the steering column.
