MASSACHUSETTS — The Bay State is known for other food items ahead of its pizza, but don't think that Massachusetts doesn't have top-notch pizzamakers here.
According to Food Network, the best slice in Massachusetts can be found at locations across the state, and even in neighboring Rhode Island.
Antonio's was named the best slice, with Food Network praising the shop's long menu of options that have become a favorite of college students from Amherst to Worcester to Providence.

If you're reading this and concerned that Food Network picked a local chain, take it from one Google reviewer who is also a chef:
"First time there. I'm a chef from CT and a bit of a pizza snob, but their pizza is absolutely delicious, and the calamari is perfectly perfect in every way. I'll definitely be back," they wrote.
Maine's Best Pizza in Massachusetts
The list also included Otto Pizza as the best spot to grab a pie in Maine. Luckily for Massachusetts residents, they can find a location in the Pine Tree State and the Bay State.
The Food Network listing for Otto's praises its locally sourced ingredients and "superb crust."
Pepperoni is the most popular pick of diners, followed by The Masher, an option inspired by the tastes of a traditional dinner side featuring a mix of mashed potatoes, bacon and scallions.
Since opening on Portland's Congress Street in 2009, owners Mike Keon and Anthony Allen have expanded their operation to an additional five locations in Maine, as well as another half dozen spots in Massachusetts.
