Snow This Week In MA? It's Possible As Rain, Freezing Temperatures Collide
Here's when we might see some flakes this week, what would be the first this season in the eastern half of Massachusetts.

MASSACHUSETTS — It won't be enough to cancel school, but parts of eastern Massachusetts could see the first snow of the season on Wednesday night, according to forecasts.
Rain is the in the forecast for Thursday and Friday, but a temperature drop beginning late Wednesday might turn those drops into flakes, according to the National Weather Service. The best chance for light snow will be away from the coast, generally west of I-495.
Temperatures will rebound by Thursday morning before rising into the low 50s. Low temperatures could reach into the 20s over the weekend, but the forecast indicates clear weather with no precipitation expected.

An El Niño climate pattern might mean a snowier winter for Massachusetts compared to the relatively mild 2022-23 season, the National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center said in an updated U.S. Winter Outlook released in mid-October.
