1 Killed, 3 Injured, Including Firefighter, In Middleborough Blaze
Crews responded to the scene on Ashley Lane shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday. The heavy smoke and flames spread to adjacent units at the condo complex. The deceased victim was pronounced dead at the scene while the other three parties’ injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
Child, 3, Dies After Being Hit By Car On Cape Cod
Police received an emergency call about a pedestrian being hit by a car at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. The three-year-old was rushed to the hospital where they later died from their injuries. The driver of the vehicle has reportedly cooperated with the investigation.

'Snow Place Like Home' Fee-Free Adoption Event Aims To Find Shelter Dogs Forever Holiday Homes
MSPCA-Angell will partner with five of its shelter partners across the state for the adoption event that features waived adoption fees for all dogs one year old or older. The event begins Monday and runs through Dec. 14 at all four MSPCA-Angell shelters, as well as Berkshire Humane Society, Worcester Animal Rescue League, Boston Animal Care and Control,Baypath Humane Society and Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center. This adoption event is focused on adult and larger-breed dogs, which typically have a harder time finding permanent homes.
4 Animals Die In Cape Cod Fire
Falmouth Fire and Rescue officials responded to a fire Saturday that broke out on the first floor of an apartment complex. While all the residents were successfully evacuated and the fire was knocked down, three dogs and one cat died. One dog was pulled from the blaze and had life-saving measures performed, however it was unsuccessful. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Thousands Without Power In Medford And Malden After Tree Takes Out Power Lines
Residents across Medford and Malden were rendered without electricity after a large tree limb took down high-voltage National Grid power lines. The branch also injured two cars on its way down to the ground.
