Gov. Healey, Sens. Warren, Markey Among Most Popular In U.S.: Poll
A new Morning Consult poll found that the state's top elected officials are popular, but have fallen off slightly in recent months.

MASSACHUSETTS — A new Morning Consult poll of the top elected officials in Massachusetts shows that Democrats Gov. Maura Healey and U.S. Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey are among the most popular — although slightly less so than last year.
The poll of close to 6,000 registered voters in the U.S. shows that Healey, who was elected to her first term in 2022, has an approval rating of about 59 percent, with a 28 percent disapproval rating. Those ratings put her at No. 14 among the 50 U.S. Governors.
Markey and Warren both have an approval rating of 53 percent, but Warren's disapproval rating was higher than Markey's at 36 percent to his 27 percent. Warren is still the 18th most popular U.S. Senator and Markey the 13th most popular.

But both Markey and Healey have slipped in popularity compared to last year, according to Morning Consult. Markey fell out of the top 10 most popular senators with U.S. Sens. Chris Murphy (D-Connecticut), John Kennedy (R-Louisiana) and Jack Reed (D-Rhode Island) moving ahead.
Healey also fell out of the top 10 with governors Phil Scott (R-Vermont), Kristi Noem (R-South Dakota), Brian Kemp (R-Georgia) and Laura Kelly (D-Kansas) moving up. Healey's approval rating also slipped one percentage point compared to the last three quarters when she was at 60 percent, according to the poll.

Of the three, only Warren is up for reelection in 2024 with Republican John Deaton stepping up to challenge her. Both Markey and Healey will be on the ballot in 2026.
