After a warm, showery day south of Boston and a cold, raw morning north of the city, the entire region got in on the tropical feel late in the afternoon and early in the evening with a 65 mph gust recorded at the Blue Hills Observatory and 66 mph gust at Woods Hole in Falmouth, and 4.19 inches of rain reported in Attleboro, to along with temperatures soaring into the 60s.
The Ted Williams Tunnel was even shut down for about an hour on Wednesday night as blocked storm drains causes water to rise near the tops of car doors traveling underground.
