MA Beaches, Spray Parks Opening For 2024 Summer Season: DCR

Memorial Day will mark the start of summer swimming seasons at state beaches across the state, coinciding with a rise in temperatures.

MASSACHUSETTS — Just in time for the heat and the holiday weekend, the state Department of Conservation and Recreation will open beaches and spray decks this week.

DCR's 81 freshwater and saltwater beaches will open starting Friday, and most will remain open until Labor Day weekend at the beginning of September. Find a list of all freshwater beaches here, and ocean beaches here.

On Wednesday, DCR opened some of the state-operated spray decks. The facilities will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through the summer. Here are the locations:

The remaining DCR spray decks and DCR pools will likely open after Memorial Day. The pools typically open toward the end of June.
