For Earth Day 2024, MA State Parks Offer Dozens Of Volunteer Opportunities

More than 40 organized service opportunities will be held Saturday at state parks across Massachusetts.

PRINCETON, MA — Anyone looking for a way to mark Earth Day 2024 should check out the more than 40 service projects happening at state parks across Massachusetts this weekend.

This year's Park Serve Day volunteer opportunities will include activities like picking up litter and removing invasive plants at natural areas ranging from the Charles River to the state's highest peak, Mt. Greylock.

The state Department of Conservation and Recreation first began marking Park Serve Day in 2006, and the annual event has grown each year since. Here's a list of all the opportunities happening Saturday (unless otherwise noted) for 2024 with links to register for the events:
