Six Flags New England Announces New Dino Off Road Adventure

AGAWAM, MA — Six Flags New England announced Wednesday details about its newest ride, Dino Off Road Adventure, which will debut this spring.

The park called the ride of a "first-of-its-kind in New England," and said it will include the latest animatronic technology and innovation.

According to Six Flags, the ride will feature guests in a safari-style vehicle — driven along a track — coming face-to-face with life-size dinosaurs, including Tyrannosaurus Rex, Dilophosauras, Maiasaura, Pachycephalosaur and many more.

The dinosaurs will have life-like sound and state-of-the-art animatronic movement with realistic head, eye, tail and body movement, officials said.

The ride also will feature an educational queue line with interactive QR component, an interactive off-road adventure featuring Baby Tyrannosaurus for young adventurers, photo opportunities with the dinosaurs, and dinosaur-themed specialty food and drink items.

"Family-fun is part of our DNA here at Six Flags New England and Dino Off Road Adventure delivers exceptional thrills for our youngest thrill seekers," said Peter Carmichael, Six Flags New England park president.

Carmichael continued: "Our guests will experience an adventure of prehistoric proportion as they step back in time and come face to face with life-size dinosaurs with larger than life effects and sound. Our team is committed to creating exceptional experiences and the 2023 season promises to deliver for dinosaur lovers of all ages."

The ride is scheduled to premiere on Memorial Day weekend, which is May 26-29. Six Flags New England is scheduled to open for the 2023 season on April 7.
