Track Of Severe Storms In MA Changes: Wind Main Hazard
See the timing and main hazards for thunderstorms set to roll across Massachusetts on Wednesday.

MASSACHUSETTS — The National Weather Service has updated its forecast for severe weather on Wednesday, predicting that thunderstorms may be seen farther east inside the I-95 belt.
An initial forecast Tuesday predicated the highest chance for storms would only extend as far as near the Middlesex and Worcester county lines. On Wednesday morning, an updated forecast showed severe storms were possible as far east as Boston.
The storms will be seen between 2 and 9 p.m., and high winds will likely be the main threat, according to the forecast. Western Massachusetts will have a generally higher risk of severe weather on Wednesday.

"This afternoon and evening scattered thunderstorms are expected. The possibility of these storms is higher to the north and west of I-95. Some of these storms might lead to sporadic, isolated cases of severe weather," the forecast said.
Hail, tornadoes and flash flooding were not expected with the storms. The weather service highlighted that the storms will be isolated.
