2 Types Of Trader Joe's Cookies Sold In MA Recalled Due To Rocks

The Trader Joe's recall involves two types of cookies sold at the nationwide specialty grocery chain.

MASSACHUSETTS — Make sure to check your Trader Joe's cookie label before you bite down.

The nationwide specialty grocery chain recently issued a recall for two types of cookies because some packages may contain rocks. The grocer has removed all the affected cookies from store shelves.

The cookies included in the recall are Trader Joe’s Almond Windmill Cookies and Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies. The windmill cookies have expiration dates between Oct. 19 and 23, and the chocolate chunk and almond cookies expire between Oct. 17 and 21.

"If you purchased or received any donations of Almond Windmill Cookies and/or Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies, please do not eat them. We urge you to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund," the company said in a recall alert.

Trader Joe's has 19 locations in Massachusetts in: Acton, Allston, Arlington, Boston, Brookline, Burlington, Cambridge, Foxborough, Framingham, Hadley, Hanover, Hingham, Hyannis, Needham, Peabody, Saugus, Shrewsbury, Somerville and West Newton.
