MASSACHUSETTS — It'll be a pretty nice spring week across Massachusetts, with warm temperatures, sun and dry air.

Except for that one rainstorm smack in the middle of the week.

The week will begin with temperatures reaching highs near 70 across much of the state with a mix of sun and clouds, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will reach near 80 on Tuesday, also with a mix of sun and clouds.

Rain enters the picture overnight into Wednesday, with more than a 50 percent chance of rain across the entire state, and higher chances between 6 a.m. and noon. Temperatures will be a little cooler as well, hovering in the mid-60s.

Rain may linger on Thursday, but at least temperatures will rebound back to near 70.

"A coastal storm lifting NE from the middle Atlantic coast may bring showers and cooler temperatures Wednesday, and unsettled weather could linger into Thursday as the low pressure is slow to depart. High pressure returns Friday, then another system may bring more rain next Saturday," the National Weather Service said in a Monday morning forecast.

Those rain chances are highest on Saturday at about 40 percent, but temperatures may remain near 70 through Sunday, according to the forecast.
