Woman Becomes First $2M Winner In MA Lottery's New Game

The woman revealed her plans for her massive $2 million lottery prize, which she won from a gifted ticket from her father.

MASSACHUSETTS — The first $2 million winner in Massachusetts' newest lottery game was a Georgia woman, according to lottery officials.

The Norcross woman was given a $25,000,000 Mega Money instant ticket by her father, a gift that resulted in the woman claiming a one-time payment of $1.3 million before taxes, Massachusetts Lottery officials said in a May 28 announcement.

She plans to use her massive prize to buy a house and attend college, lottery officials said.
