Ayer Man to Face Grand Jury for Charges in Acton

Patrick Loughnane was arrested in December on multiple charges.

An Ayer man who was arrested in Acton on Dec. 12 will face the Grand Jury, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announced last week.

Patrick Loughnane, 55, was charged with breaking and entering during the daytime for a felony, operating a motor vehicle to endanger, failure to stop for police, possession of a Class C drug, possession of a Class B drug, and being a habitual offender. 

The Assistant District Attorney is David Clayton.

On Dec. 12 at approximately 1:26 p.m., the Acton Police Department received a 911 call from a resident of Phlox Lane advising she had come down from the second floor of her home to discover an intruder had broken into her home and was observed in the first-floor hallway.

The homeowner was able flee her residence and provide the 911 call dispatcher a detailed description of the intruder and his getaway vehicle. Officer John Collins observed the vehicle on Great Road. A brief pursuit followed, and with the assistance of the Littleton Police Department the vehicle was stopped in their town.

  • Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Operating Under the Influence of Drugs
