Andover To Be Designated High-Risk Community
The town has almost 200 active cases and reported a 5.2 percent positive rate over the last two weeks, it said.
ANDOVER, MA — Andover will be designated high risk for the coronavirus in Thursday's town-by-town statistics, the town said.
The town has reported a 5.2 percent positive test rate over the last two weeks, the town said, crossing the key 5 percent threshold to be labeled red. Over 150 other communities will be designated high risk in Thursday's Department of Public Health update, the town said.
The town has 199 active coronavirus cases, as of Thursday, bringing it to 1,044 cumulative cases. Seventy-eight residents have died of the virus.
