Andover Coronavirus Update: 34 Confirmed Cases, 19 Recovered
As of Friday afternoon, 19 residents have active cases of the new coronavirus and 15 have recovered.
ANDOVER, MA — According to town officials, Andover has seen 34 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus as of Friday afternoon. Of the total number, 15 cases are people who have recovered.
All 34 people are currently still in isolation, a town statement said, and close contacts are also receiving support. Because of privacy requirements, no other information will be shared with the public about cases.
"It should be expected that the actual number of ill persons is more than what is reported, as there are ill people who have not been tested," the Town of Andover's statement said. "Continued social distancing will assist the EMS and medical communities as they respond to our residents with the most severe symptoms."
