Andover High School Evacuated After Unexpected Fire Alarm

The evacuation prompted the school to change its schedule, but other details were not immediately available.

ANDOVER, MA — Andover High School was evacuated Monday, according to a post on Twitter from Principal Philip Conrad. A spokesperson for the school district said a fire alarm went off unexpectedly around 11:30 a.m.

"The fire alarm went off unexpectedly at approximately at 11:30 a.m. All students and staff were evacuated and returned safely to the building," APS spokesperson Nicole Kieser said. "The tweet was sent to notify students of the change of the lunch schedule to ensure each student received 30 minutes for lunch."
