ANDOVER, MA — Police arrested a man Tuesday afternoon after he struck a 70-year-old man with his car on Chestnut Court around 5 p.m. Gerald Znamierowski, 80, of 38 Chestnut Court in Andover, was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on an elderly person and leaving the scene of an accident after causing personal injury. The victim was taken to Lawrence General Hospital with minor injuries.
