Andover Seeking Pollworkers For Coming Elections
The town needs election workers for the March 22 town election, the June town meeting and other elections.

ANDOVER, MA — Andover is seeking residents to serve as election workers in the upcoming March 22 town election as well as future elections and town meetings.
"Have you ever wanted to get involved in your local government but didn’t know where to start?" the town asked. "Are you looking for extra income but not a formal part or full-time commitment with a set schedule? Are you organized with great focus and attention to detail? If so, then we have an opportunity for you!"
The town election is scheduled for March 22, but the town needs poll workers for all elections as well as for the annual town meeting in June.

Workers are paid $9.25 per hour for 4- to 12-hour shifts, with both morning and evening opportunities.
"In lieu of an hourly wage, these positions are also eligible for participation in the Senior Tax Work Off Program," the town said.

The town shared the following list of duties and qualifications:
"Duties of being an Election Worker include:
- Assist voters with check-in/ballot distribution.
- Provide consistently superior customer service.
- Monitor ballot box.
- Assist tallying election results.
- Interact with public in professional manner.
Qualifications Include:
- Must be an Andover resident and registered voter.
- Comfort level and or proficiency with technology.
- Attention to detail
- Basic counting and alphabetizing skills
- Professional and pleasant demeanor
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for long hours
- Ability to verbally communicate with voters"
