Andover Select Board Weighs In On Town Meeting Warrant

The board voted to recommend disapproval of six articles but supported measures to fund designs for a school building project.

ANDOVER, MA — The Andover Select Board met Monday to review the seven warrant articles for the upcoming Special Town Meeting on Nov. 20 at Andover High School.

The board heard presentations from the petitioners of six private warrant articles included in the warrant and voted to recommend disapproval of each, according to a town statement.

These articles included whether Andover should retain the town meeting form of government, establish a property tax limit for seniors, reduce the speed limit on several roads, limit retiree health care premiums, and more.

The board also considered the two-part warrant article seeking funds for the design of an Andover High School building project. The board voted to recommend approval of both parts of the article.
