Applications Open For Learning Model Switches At Andover Schools
As of Friday, Andover Public Schools had 26 active coronavirus cases, according to the district dashboard.

ANDOVER, MA — Andover families that want to switch learning models can submit applications this week, the district said.
The district is using a hybrid learning model, with a remote academy option. Currently, the entire high school is remote, due to recent positive tests. The school is expected to reopen for in-person learning on Nov. 30.
Parents of K-5 and High School students can submit requests using the district’s hybrid/remote parent request form, through Friday. Middle School students can request switches beginning Monday, and preschool families can request switches beginning Dec. 4.

Each parent request will be reviewed individually with regard to student needs, distancing and space limitations, transportation availability, staffing and schedules.
Students that switch models will end up with different teachers and classes and possibly different school assignments. A wait list will be created for students that are not permitted to switch.
