Back To School: Andover 2021-22 School Calendar

ANDOVER, MA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Andover, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Andover Public Schools.

The first day of school for most students in Andover is Wednesday, Sept. 1.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point.

At this time, Andover Public Schools has not yet made a decision as to whether masks will be required when students return to the classroom for in-person learning in the fall.

"We are closely monitoring the data in Andover and trends regarding COVID-19 cases and variants in Massachusetts. We are also working in collaboration with the town’s health division," Superintendent Dr. Magda Parvey said in a message to parents. "With the guidance of Andover’s Director of Public Health, Tom Carbone, APS Director of Nursing Rita Casper, and any updated mandates from DESE or the state, we hope to make an informed decision on the best way to bring our students and staff safely back into school in the fall."

Andover Public Schools plans to communicate any further updates or decisions in the coming weeks.

Thanksgiving Break: Nov 25-26

Winter Break: Dec 24-Dec 31

Spring Break: Feb. 21-25

Last Day: June 14
