Crews Fight Large Brush Fire Near I-495 In Andover

ANDOVER, MA — A large brush fire was reported on I-495 near Corbett Street and Topping Road on Thursday afternoon, according to a post from the Town of Andover.

"Residents are advised to avoid the area if possible and expect travel delays," the town wrote. "Emergency response activity will be visible in the surrounding neighborhoods."

The brush fire was reported shortly before 4 p.m. near the on-ramp of exit 99 on I-495 southbound, according to an Andover firefighters' union.

The fire was brought under control about 45 minutes later.
