Deadline for Election Registration or Change Party Affiliation Set for Friday

The last day to register to vote or change party affiliation for the September 8, 2016 State Primary is Friday, August 19, 2016.

The last day and hour to register to vote or to change party affiliation for this election is 5:00 PM on Friday August 19th. The Town Clerk’s Office will be open until 5:00 PM that day for voter registration.

The State Primary will be held on Thursday September 8, 2016. Polling hours are from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Precincts 1, and 3 will vote at the Center at Punchard (Senior Center) on Whittier Court. Precincts 4, 5 and 6 will vote at the Wood Hill Middle School. Precincts 2, 7 (including sub-precinct 7A), 8 and 9 (including sub-precinct 9A) will vote at the Andover High School Field House on Shawsheen Road. PLEASE NOTE THE POLLING PLACE FOR PRECINCT 2 HAS BEEN CHANGED BACK TO ANDOVER HIGH SCHOOL.

The last day and hour to apply for an absentee ballot is NOON on Wednesday, September 7th. Absentee ballots are now available at the Town Clerk’s Office.

Voters will be casting their votes for Representative in Congress, Governor’s Councillor, Senator in General Court, Representative in General Court and Sheriff for each of Massachusetts’ four political parties; Democratic, Republican, Green-Rainbow and United Independent. Voters registered in one of these four political parties may only take a ballot for their party. All other voters may choose a ballot for any one of the four political parties.
