ANDOVER, MA — The month of May is bringing a lively mix of community events to Andover, ranging from comedy and crafts to choral performances and charitable races. Here’s a look at what’s happening around town in the coming days and weeks:

Laughs for Lions Comedy Show – May 2
Kick off your weekend with a night of laughter at the Laughs for Lions Comedy Show, hosted by the Andover Lions Club. The show will be held on Thursday, May 2, at 7 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton. Proceeds will support local charities, including eye research and vision care initiatives. Expect a fun night of professional comedians and community spirit.

Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at Oak & Iron Brewing Company – May 3
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Oak & Iron Brewing Company on Saturday, May 3, from 1:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Enjoy a Mexican-inspired menu served by Souped Up Food from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM, along with specialty beers on tap, including "90 Miles to Cuba" Key Lime Wheat Ale and Michelada.

7th Annual Artisan Market at the Mills – May 4
The popular Artisan Market at the Mills returns on Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the historic Andover Mills at 50 High St. Shoppers can browse handcrafted goods from over 30 local artisans, including jewelry, ceramics, textiles, and gourmet treats. The event supports local makers and offers a perfect opportunity to pick up unique Mother’s Day gifts.

12th Annual Step Up for Colleen 5K – May 5
On Sunday, May 5, the community will come together for the 12th Annual Step Up for Colleen 5K, in memory of Colleen Ritzer. This beloved event honors the legacy of the late teacher and raises funds for scholarships and youth programs. The race begins at 9 a.m. at Central Park and welcomes runners and walkers of all ages.

Citizens Who Care & Educator of the Year Gala – May 8
The Rotary Club of Andover will host its 27th annual Citizens Who Care & Educator of the Year Gala on Wednesday, May 8, at 5:30 p.m. at the Andover Country Club. The gala honors outstanding community members and educators who make a difference in Andover every day.

Crafts in the Park – May 10
Rounding out the month’s festivities is Crafts in the Park on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in The Park at Bartlet and Chestnut Streets. This open-air craft fair, a cherished local tradition, will feature dozens of vendors, food trucks, and entertainment.
