Firefighters Extinguish Brush Fire That Threatened Andover Home
Firefighters responded to find a "heavy volume" of fire that was quickly spreading.
ANDOVER, MA — Firefighters responded to a large brush fire in West Hollow on Thursday night, according to Andover Firefighters' Local 1658.
Firefighters arrived and found "a heavy volume of fire" that was quickly spreading and threatening a nearby home.
"The dry weather continues to provide the perfect conditions for brush fires," according to the post. "These fires require an immense amount of work to extinguish and overhaul. As always, our firefighters worked tirelessly in the performance of their duties, and cleared the scene shortly before midnight."
