Five Things to Do This Weekend

Where/When: Saturday, March 3, 9 a.m., Andover High School.

Why Go: Andover High School will be hosting one of the preliminary rounds of the Massachusetts High School Drama Festival. Numerous high schools will be competing by performing in their own 40 minute play. Three schools will be moved on to a semi-final round. People attending can watch plays all day with a $10 pass. AHS will be performing their play, a comedy, at 2 p.m.

2. OPEN HOUSES

Where/When: Sunday, March 4, Various times and locations

Why Go: Check out open houses in Andover in our regular feature Five Open Houses on Sunday. This will run at 1 p.m.

3. GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL VS ACTON-BOXBOROUGH

Where/When: Friday, March 2, 7 p.m., .

Why Go: The Andover girls will be taking on Acton-Boxborough tonight in the MIAA Divison 1 North Tournament.

4. MUSIC AT PALMERS

When and Where: Friday, March 2, at 9 p.m, . 

Why Go: Come stop by Palmers to listen to the music stylings of the Common Crossing Band.

Pricing: Free

5. MUSIC AT ANDOLINI'S

When and Where: Saturday, March 3, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., on Essex Street. 

Why Go: Musician Matt Jackson will be playing a two and half hour set at Andolini's Saturday night.
