Flu Vaccine Clinic Scheduled This Week In Andover

The town is operating a flu vaccine clinic this week for anyone 5 years or older.

ANDOVER, MA — A flu vaccine clinic is coming up in Andover. The town released the following statement on the clinic on Facebook:

Help protect yourself, your family, and your community by making a plan to get your flu shot!

A Community Flu Clinic for Andover residents will be held on Thursday, November 2, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Robb Center, 30 Whittier Court. The flu clinic is open to anyone 5 years of age and older.

The Massachusetts Department of Public recommends annual influenza vaccination for everyone 6 months and older with any licensed, age-appropriate flu vaccine (IIV, RIV4, or LAIV4) with no preference expressed for any one vaccine over another.

For people 65 years and older, the department noted that three flu vaccines are preferentially recommended: Fluzone High-Dose Quadrivalent vaccine, Flublok Quadrivalent recombinant flu vaccine, and Fluad Quadrivalent adjuvanted flu vaccine.
