How Do You Find Out Information About an Accident?

When you want to know more about an accident and don't see any attention in the news, there are ways to find out the information you need.

keeps all details on accidents in Andover and it is always best to show up in person when it is possible you may be requesting a report from the police.

Anyone can look at the police logs, which are located in the large black binders on the table next to the main desk in the Public Safety Center. They contain all of your basic information, such as time, place, responding officers, how many vehicles, injuries, requests for ambulances or requests for tows. If serious enough, the logs will also contain extra information like whether the accident contained a rollover or personal entrapment. The Police log binders typically contain log items dating back about a month.

If that's not enough, you can always go the second desk in the police wing of the Public Safety Center and explain what information you need. It is likely police will read off of an accident report and give you information rather than provide you with a hard copy of an accident report (but that is possible as well).
