Last Chance: Deadlines You Need to Know

Welcome to Last Chance, a new feature that will provide a list of upcoming deadlines that you may want to know about.

We’ll feature the latest deadlines to take a class, join a bus trip to Foxwoods or register to vote.

Here is a list of important dates that Andover residents will want to know this week.

Today is the first day of curbside leaf collection. It ends Saturday, June 2.

April 26 is the last chance to audition for the DCS's summer production of "Legally Blonde." Audition are being held on Thursdsay, April 26 at the Collins Center from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Auditions are open to students in grades 6 through 12.

May 1 is the last day you can use an open air burning permit to burn in your yard. The permit is $25. Burning has been prohibited recently due to dry weather but recent rain may allow residents to burn for the last week. 

June 1 is the last day you can apply for a 2012 deer hunting permit. Find more information on the town's website.

Since March 1, the Andover Town Clerk's office has been charging an additional $5 per month on top of the $14 fee to renew your dog's 2012 license. To obtain a license by mail, forward your dog's rabies certificate and a check for $14.00 made payable to the Town of Andover to: Town Clerk's Office, 36 Bartlet Street, Andover, MA 01810. You can also obtain a license at the Town Clerk's office.
