Man Arrested After Crash in Drive-Thru

Tuesday, March 6

At 7:29 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehiclea accident on North Main Street.

At 8:15 a.m. an injured hawk was reported on River Road. The animal control officer took it to the Andover Animal Hospital. The officer brought another hawk, which was found on Cooolidge Road, to the hospital about a half hour later.

At 8:05 p.m. the driver of a tractor trailer unit reported that he was stuck on a curb on Route 125. State Police responded.

At 9:35 p.m. an officer stopped a motor vehicle on Union Street and gave the operator a verbal warning for excessive tint in the car windows.

Wednesday, March 7

At 12:26 p.m. falling snow and ice at the Old Town Hall building was reported on Main Street.

At 2:56 p.m. a police employee reported a road rage incident between a female and a elderly gentleman on Main Street.

At 4:54 p.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on South Main Street. No injuries were reported.

At 5:44 p.m. a male employee at a Main Street business sustained burns from hot grese. He was transported in an ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital.

At 10:09 p.m. a motor vehicle accident was reported in the McDonald's drive-thru. Police arrested Apama Qazi, 24, of 237 North Main St., on North Main Street. Qazi was charged with operating under the influence of liquor.
