Man Killed In Methuen Shooting Identified As Ewdy Lopez
A 22-year-old Methuen man died after being shot around Kimball Road in Methuen Thursday morning.
METHUEN, MA — Officials identified the man killed in the Thursday morning Methuen shooting as Ewdy Lopez, 22 of Methuen.
No arrests have been made and the matter remains under investigation, officials said.
Lopez was found shot on Kimball Road in Methuen. He was treated and taken by ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital, where he died, officials said.

Methuen police responded to reports of shots fired around Kimball Road at 5:24 a.m., Methuen Police Chief Scott McNamara and Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said in a news release.
Methuen and state police and the Essex District Attorney's Office are investigating the case.

Investigators believe the shooting was not random and there is no threat to public safety, the officials said.
