Thanks to the generosity of Gladys and Tony Sakowich, the Andover Village Improvement Society (AVIS) was able to open up another reservation for the public's enjoyment. State and town officials were present at the ceremony on Saturday afternoon and spoke about the specific land, at roughly 9 acres, and the reasons for preserving it. Town historian Jim Batchelder spoke in length about the history of the land, the owners and how it came to be where it is today.

Thanks to the generosity of Gladys and Tony Sakowich, the Andover Village Improvement Society (AVIS) was able to open up another reservation for the public's enjoyment.

State and town officials were present at the ceremony on Saturday afternoon and spoke about the specific land, at roughly 9 acres, and the reasons for preserving it. Town historian Jim Batchelder spoke in length about the history of the land, the owners and how it came to be where it is today.

A new AVIS reservation was opened up to the public last weekend.
