Arlington Coronavirus: Number Of Cases Above 200
There are 78 cases of the coronavirus at Arlington's senior care facilities, town data shows.
ARLINGTON, MA — The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Arlington continues to rise, hitting 207 Monday. The town's death toll is now at 23, according to the latest numbers from health officials.
According to town data, 78 of those 200 cases are at senior care facilities. Residents are invited to submit artwork or a card to Arlington's Art and Cards for Seniors project to help life the spirits of local seniors. The project has received 120 submissions so far.

Town Moderator John Leone updated residents on the status of this year's Town Meeting. If it is held this spring it all, it will be a truncated meeting at an outdoor venue in late June, Leone said. The warrant will only take up necessary financial articles, including budgets, capital budgets, bonding articles CPA and CDBG.
The logistics of the meeting are still being finalized.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported 169 new deaths Sunday, bringing the state's death toll to 2,899. The state also confirmed an additional 1,590 cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of positive cases to 54,938.
Sunday's report also showed that the hospitalization rate held at seven percent after dropping from eight two days earlier. Gov. Charlie Baker said in his daily news briefing Saturday the hospitalization rate has stabilized over the past few days.
