Arlington Coronavirus Cases Surpass 1K Over Holidays
The town remained a moderate-risk community on the state's latest public health report.
ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington has now reported more than 1,000 positive cases of the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. There were 75 positive cases since Christmas Day, bringing the town's case count to 1,024, according to the latest figures from the Health Department.
There have been 67 deaths attributed to the coronavirus in Arlington.
The state's latest public health report, released New Year's Eve, labeled Arlington a moderate-risk community. The town averaged 24.5 daily cases per 100,000 residents, a drop from the previous week, but a higher percent positivity rate of 2.85 percent.

There are an additional 95 probable cases, according to the Health Department. Close to 700 people have recovered from the virus.
