Arrest Made In Cambridge Weekend Stabbing Incident
The arrest was made in Harvard Square's MBTA station.
CAMBRIDGE, MA — The police department has made an arrest in connection to a stabbing incident that took place on Saturday, Dec. 27, in Harvard Square.
Cambridge police, fire, and emergency medical services responded to the scene at Church Street at approximately 9:15 a.m. to discover a person suffering from multiple stab wounds, who was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Witnesses on the scene reportedly told police the assailant had fled the area.
Later that day, a person was arrested inside the Harvard Square MBTA station. Cambridge police gave credit to Transit Police for their assistance in the apprehension. The department emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing, however it said that there is no broader threat to the community.
