Arlington Firefighters Pass The Test
Five Arlington firefighters graduated the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy in Stow.

Arlington firefighters Edward W. Beucler, Paul M. Flynn Jr., Richard B. Gallagher Jr., Christopher M. Mansfield, and Brandon C. Stratton can count themselves among the alumni of the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy’s 226th class, according to a missive from the institution.
The 45-day program for new recruits took place in Stow, Mass., and also included students from departments in Acton, Centerville-Osterville-Marston Mills, Concord, Fitchburg, Needham, Norton, Tewksbury, West Springfield, Westford, Westminster, and Woburn.

Like the other graduates, the five Arlington firefighters are now certified in the National Fire Protection Association’s 1001 national standards, and the Massachusetts Fire Training Council’s hazardous materials first responder operational level.
