Sanford Pooler, the Finance Director for the town of Amherst, will be replacing Andrew Flanagan.Flanagan was <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/andover/meet-andovers-new-town-manager-0">recently hired to be the Town Manager for Andover.</a>Pooler, who goes by "Sandy," has been with Amherst since 2011. Before that, he was both the Chief Budget Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Newton.Pooler will start his new job in Arlington on Jan. 25.
